Shelving-01149 viewsThis is the Parts Pail storage unit. I had about 13-1/2" between the old shop wall and the first 4 foot x 4 foot window, so it became a natural for my parts pails. There are 4 shelves 50-1/2"x13-1/2" with the top shelf reserved for shorty pails.Rudi

Almost Done-10137 viewsThe foundation/grade line was sealed against moisture ingress. 45mm to 65mm salvaged rubber dam and salvaged tractor trailer or loader inner tubes were cut to size then stapled and nailed to the building and then buried about 12" deep around the entire building.

The ridge was sealed the same way so that no snow or rain etc., would leak into the new building or onto the old roof which leaked. Now it is dry and actually quite warm when the sun is shining. Lots of ventilation, but no openings for water.

Almost Done-08133 viewsStarting to get some room in here. Shelving system is going up at the moment. Need to get the implements and such up and put away before the snow falls and stays. Rudi

Inside A Snowy Barn126 viewsThis is looking to the west gable. Got a couple tarps on to keep the snow from the coming storm out, whilst I build the gable wall. It is a bit chilly with all the snow, but hopefully once closed it, snow shovelled out, it will get a bit warmer.Rudi

# 1 Potato Digger126 viewsNotice the modified hitch assembly. The front truck has been removed so that the digger can be hooked directly to the drawbar behind Ellie, Granny or Jethro.

Almost Done-07125 viewsThe last structural item that needs to be done is the new overlay roof on the north face. Can't afford to do it this year, in either time or material. Even though this has been built on a shoestring, with salvaged sign faces for the sheathing, used telephone poles, discounted lumber (read some pretty crappy with the good), salvaged windows and all, it still probably cost me close to $1,000.00 all told for nails, needed structural stock and windows, plus the asphalt roof patch material.

Almost Done-09124 viewsRoof looks nice. Every hole, every nail, joint and defect has been patched with fibre tape, then 2 coats of ashpalt roofing patch. Then I added one coat so far of heavy ashpalt driveway sealant.

NO LEAKS!
