Freezer Compartment66 viewsThis is the rack and the bottom of the freezer compartment below the ignition point. Most of the damage is there.. not the worst but the majority. Surprising, considering the ice packs and other frozen foods that were in there. Rudi

Almost Done-0665 viewsLike I said, it ain't pretty. This is the corner that was heavily damaged last winter during the blizzards and heavy wind storms that we had a number of times. Two trusses were damaged, 4 sheets almost ripped off, 1 sheet gone.. but all is better now.

Trusses Almost Done62 viewsAll 16 of the trusses are almost done. This is the first 24 foot section of the trusses for the pole barn and new shop roof. You can see the end that will sit on the exterior wall (by the green tarp), with knee wall frame section that will be sitting on the beam and the loose tails sitting on the roof. The loose tails will have another 8 feet gusseted into them with an end plate and foot plate to anchor to the existing roof. Rudi

Almost Done-0460 viewsAll the windows have now been trimmed with brick mold. All the facia has been finished for the year. What is left now is to put on another coat on the roof and that should be that for this year.

What am I missing ???60 viewsRoger is trying to figure out what is happening I guess.... notice that all the tops of the poles have been cut? Bruce is my sivilculturist -- in other words, he cuts all the trees on my land that I can't do. He has years of experience in the bush.. but his trade is as a machinist.Rudi

Almost_Done-05.jpg
Almost Done-0559 viewsIt ain't pretty, but it certainly is well sealed. Not a hole, nail, screw or joint has not been fibre taped and spackled with roof patching compound. It certainly won't leak and that is the main concern.

Next year, if the budget allows, vinyl siding and the aluminum trim to match the main house will be added over the spring and summer.
