Inside A Snowy Barn126 viewsThis is looking to the west gable. Got a couple tarps on to keep the snow from the coming storm out, whilst I build the gable wall. It is a bit chilly with all the snow, but hopefully once closed it, snow shovelled out, it will get a bit warmer.RudiDec 09, 2007

Champlain Street67 viewsSee that smudge above the snowbank just to the left of the pic? That be a a sedan pulling a trailer I think, kinda hard to tell with most of it hidden by 3 foot plus snow drifts.. RudiDec 04, 2007

Hmm.. How to Get in???67 viewsWith the new doors under the Green Tarp, I should be able to get into the Cabinet Shop a lot easier now than previously. You can see the screen door still on the North Wall. That will be framed in and a casement window I hope will be in place.

Hmmm.. a bit warmer today, but lookee.. snow39 viewsAlde and I are going to work on the roof today. It is a bit warmer than yesterday. We managed to get a few trusses up, but it was cold work -19 C with the Wind Chill, so putting up 5 trusses took a couple of hours. We hope to do better today.RudiDec 02, 2007

Just About Done in time for Coffee.42 viewsWe started about 1:45PM and making good progress. Had to put a temp foot on the roof, but now all the trusses are level and just about finished. All that will be left will be adjusting for spacing as we go up the roof with the strapping before the sheathing goes on.RudiDec 02, 2007

Just Before Coffee Break40 viewsManaged to get the rest of the trusses in place except for the last two. Ran out of pre-cut 22-1/2" Header Blocks. Go to Timmy's get warm, cut the last two and poof we will have em all up!

Not too shabby considering we started this afternoon at about 1345hrs or 1:45 PM.

All 16 Trusses On the Roof45 viewsAll of them are now nailed into place. On the West Gable, I just have to build the gable end box, gable end wall and ladders. Then, once that is sheathed in and the roof done, we should be weathertight pretty much.RudiDec 02, 2007
